Upstate NY Slowly Becoming A Football Hotspot

Kala Gause

Over the last couple of years, Upstate NY recruiting has picked up at a record-setting pace.  Divisions I, I-AA, and II colleges are beginning to look for high school football players in this area more than they ever have in the past.

As a result, Section V has produced more than 20 scholarship student-athletes between D1 and D2 schools over the last 2 years.

Beyond Athletics NY has listed 26 Section V football players that have either signed, committed, or received offers to play college football since 2011.
