Bio:   Hello, my name is Cj Turner.  I first want to thank you for visiting my website.  This website is made to inform you on who I am as a individual, student, athlete, and leader.  I feel that when utilizing my talents as a leader, and being a active participant with my positive attitude, and my work ethic  I can be a help to your university on the field but also off the field as well. I hope you find the website useful in your initial opportunity of getting to know me from a personal, academic, social and athletic perspective.

I am presently a junior (Spring 2016) at East Ridge high school  located in Rochester, New York .   My family is very important to me and provides me with a support system that helps keep me focused and strong.  I'm not a person who will get into trouble or  create problems. I am very coachable and will take criticism. Most of all, I'm a reliable, hardworking, honest, and respectful young man who will represent himself, my family and any institution at the highest level. I'm a solid student and excellent athlete who is humble, coachable and hungry to play for any institution no matter what division D1,D1AA,D2,D3 I work each and every day to improve on field and in life.

As a student, I've made the honor roll, am a solid B/B+ student with a 3.0 GPA who prides myself on simply getting help from teachers if needed when struggling, and outworking others on the athletic field.  I took the SAT back on May 3rd, 2015 and scored 710 (Verbal and Mathematics only) without any preparation.  I have an interest in the area of sports management potentially focusing on Athletic Trainer and/or owning a sports program .  Academics are incredibly important to me and I understand that I need them to succeed in life.

As an athlete, I consider my best assets to be my speed, agility, pass catching ability and overall athleticism.  At 5'9 and 170 lbs.  I bench press 275lbs and squat 365lbs and I'm getting bigger, faster, stronger each day as I'm in the weight room both during the season and offseason.  While I have great speed I'm always a target who can catch the  ball well over the middle and operates well in traffic. I have no fear of taking a hit and always focus on making the catch and making big plays.  As an ATH I'm comfortable in the slot, out wide and out of the backfield.  Get the ball in my hands "I will make big plays"  I can catch jump balls excellent jumping ability (36" vertical). Last year  as a Freshman, I ended the season with 8 receptions for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns I averaged 31.3 yards per catch and 49 carries for 329 yards & 4 Touchdowns averaging 6.7 yards per carry , longest run was 76 yards.

Thanks again for visiting my webpage.  Below are links that will take you to my Youtube highlight tape and recruiting page .  I look forward to additional conversations.

"I like it here so far, I'm just taking it all in right now.  Very glad coach Ash and his staff invited me to junior day, it was great to see other athletes from our area like Jojo Gause,  Jaquis Webb, and a few other Section V players doing well at Rutgers.

Class of 2017 prospect CJ Turner is currently carrying two Division one offers (ODU and UAlbany) and will probably end up with a few more as the recruiting process continues.

Beyond Athletics Scouting will keep you posted with updates of CJ Turner's Rutgers Visit.

CJ Turner likes to camp in the kind of places where you find more footballs than marshmallows.

Turner is a rising junior receiver and running back at East Irondequoit (Eastridge HS). By his count, he has caught passes, ran and jumped at six different camps this calendar year from the state of Florida to Detroit, Mich.

Hundreds of other high school football players could be found at those locations, along with college coaches, the people all of those kids hoped to impress.

Both of these athletes made up for most of the offensive production and scoring for the NLB Bats Travel 7v7 team this past weekend at the Washington D.C. Pylon 7v7 Competition.

CJ Turner (Class of 2017), currently attends Eastridge HS (Irondequoit, NY). At 5'8, 175lbs CJ has the ability to stop on the dime and quickly get into highest gear, leaving his opponents in the dust.

Turner is a former 8th Grade All-American, and has won multiple MVP awards at camps like Rivals, FBU, and others. Turner also had 8 TD's, his most impressive was a 40 yard TD sprint to to end zone. In 7v7 that is unheard of as it is two-hand touch football.

Ricky Norris will be a junior at Trinity-Pawling (Pawling, NY) in the fall, and has plans to study Psychology in college. The 6'2 250 TE/H-Back has great hands and helped lead the team to the championship game by pulling in 8 TD's.

Beyond Athletics Scouting congratulates both of these distinguished young men and wishes them much success in the future.

Beyond Athletics Scouting Top 2017 Prospect

Class of 2017 prospect CJ Turner, (Eastridge HS) started varsity as a freshman this season, and is one of the top recruits in the country.  As an eighth-grader, Turner participated in the 2012 Eighth Grade Junior Ranks All-American Game (California).

The speedy athlete currently runs a 4.56 forty yard dash, and turns heads at every camp he attends.  "I remember first seeing him at a camp in Philly," says Bret Cooper, president of the Bret Cooper All-American Game.  "I think he was still in the seventh grade, and was like a man playing with boys out there.  I could tell he had a good work-ethic, and then he walked away with the Overall RB MVP Award".  "I knew the kid was special then, and I have been a fan ever since," explains Cooper.

The best thing about Turner is still be so young, it's not quite clear if he will prospect as a WR or RB at the next level, in any event, he will be quite the athlete.  His quickness, and size make him very elusive, but he also possesses the speed to break open the game at any time.

In the classroom Turner's GPA is currently a 3.3, but with great study habits he feels he can improve.  "I'm asking my teachers for extra work before the year ends, I feel I can get my grades even better, I wanna be prepared for my S.A.T.'s so I can be even more attractive to college recruiters."  "I'm hearing from Rutgers, Youngstown State, and Syracuse, and those are all very good schools, plus the fact that in 2016 the NCAA Clearinghouse is changing its requirements for athletes, I want to be ready both on and off the field," says Turner.

The 2017 prospect currently attends the Next Level and Beyond (NLB) After School Program for physical conditioning twice a week, and for speed he goes to Parisi Speed School the other two days a week.  Turner also participates on the NLB Bats 7v7 Travel Team which is ranked #17 in the country by Pylon Elite.

Keep your eyes out for CJ Turner, I'm very sure that if he is not on your recruiting radar yet, he will be very soon!

The youngest kid on the team, showed alot of poise and maturity against older high school kids from various parts of the country.  Turner is only in the seventh grade but still contributed with a couple of catches for about 45 yards for the weekend.  He caught 1 swing pass in the flats and 1 mid-range pass across the middle without any fear of taking a big hit.  Turner is an athlete that you want to keep your eyes on in the near future, he understands that he still has plenty of things to learn and is not afraid of working hard to get better.  The youngster is also an outstanding student  in the classroom currently holding an A average in school.  Keep this kid on your will not be disappointed!!!
